I am a third generation artist, who loves creating one-of-a kind edible masterpieces. My mother, Barbara Jean Mitchell, was a true art enthusiast. She worked for 30+ years as an educator and art teacher in Caddo Parish. I know that, if she were alive today, she would be amazed at what I have created. As a kid and young adult, I never really took and interest in Art. But I was always watching my mother create her masterpieces on canvas, pottery, murals, etc.
So I guess it rubbed off on me!
Although I chose a very different medium--from my mother, the passion and creativity that she possessed-- followed by the long hours and sometimes late nights are still the same.
I love taking simple ingredients like eggs, sugar, butter, flour, etc. and creating delicious yet stunningly breath-taking edible works of art.
I started my professional career, obtaining a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from La Tech University, 20+ years ago. The last 8 years I worked as an HIV Dietitian and loved every moment spent with my clients; however, I yearned to be creative. So I quit my job and have made my passion a new goal thanks to much prayer and spiritual guidance.
I've always loved baking, testing, and creating new recipes. Hopefully you are now ready for me to create that unique edible Masterpiece for your next event.
